My Purpose

I bring lived experience, academic training, and long-term commitment to this work.

I have a deep, personal understanding of how trauma impacts development—not just through a single event, but through a sustained lack of safety, care, and institutional support.

These experiences shaped not only my resilience, but my research goals. I study psychology to investigate how systems can perpetuate harm, and how they can be redesigned to promote healing, especially for vulnerable and marginalized populations.

As a mother, I have a personal investment in understanding how early experiences and childhood environments either positively or negatively impact their ability to self-regulate, heal, and thrive. However, as a human, I carry a broader responsibility: to transform my lived experiences into knowledge that can serve others.

My work is for the little girl I once was—and for the too many children who are missed, misread, or abandoned by the institutions meant to help them.

I bring lived experience, academic training, and long-term commitment to this work.
